35 Beautiful words – give meaning to Life!

February 25th, 2010

I received an email today that asked, which are the most beautiful words you would like to list. I made an attempt. Each word has a great meaning and has a greater impact on me. I have made to specify importance of each one in my life.

So where to start with the most important word in my life:

1. Mother:

A word more than a word, with which all things starts for all of us. Mother the sole to get you to world we live in. Many people say the first word that comes from mouth is (Maa) Mother. Well that word indeed the top most spot in the beautiful words in Life.

2. Passion:

A powerful emotion, such as love, joy, hatred, or anger. If had to say it would be Boundless enthusiasm, never ending desire. The sufferings of Jesus in the period following the Last Supper and including the Crucifixion, is also a passion in itself. It gives many things that lead our life to totality.

3. Smile:

Smile Smile well it just reminded ma a very old song where Jagdeep was involved. The only lines that suits of the song is
"Lakh dukh ki yehi dawa hai
Kyun na aazmaye,
kahe ghabhrai kahe ghabhrai.
kyun na muskuraye, kyun na muskuraye."
And indeed it is a magic therapy, to know its effects, ask utterly tired and frustrated person after returning from work. He sees a smile face for kid, and bang there goes out everything.

4. Love:

A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection. Yes, that what we know as love. For the most of us love, is to like a person for a specific reason or no reason. You will always find it people saying,” I love Him because…” and on…

When asked about it I just reminds me of a forward of an email, where the meaning of love is described. The e-mail that is shown as a female keeps on arguing, saying what is being in love, and comparison id for all the materialistic and artificial beauty that she possessed. And she keeps on asking some questions:  Do you love me for my deep blue eyes? The email is long enough as female’s doubts list. Where answer is for each is given as “No” by her better half. Then right in End it is shown that females has meet with a near to fate accident, and is in critical condition. The photo just made us aware that she has lost her all the things which she thought were the reason for her partner to love her. At the very movement, the partner says, even after you lost all the things you said were the reason for our love, I am next to you holding your hand. This is Love.

And remaining words are shaping up… in coming posts

State Called “India”

October 30th, 2009

“They will be from state called India”, said the last line of Epilogue of Chetan Bhagat’s new book, “2 States“.

Chetan’s earlier 3 books were nice stories. But, I am still of the thought the first book by an author is the best book he can do. “5 point someone” of Chetan remains still the best fiction work for me. I read 2 states like a fiction as Chetan wanted its readers to do.

2 states”, a nice little story of cross culture battles, for their loved ones. It does give big social message, called “INDIA“. India is notion, rather than nation that we live in now. We proudly as kids said, “I am from INDIA”, till the time we grow up we end up saying, from Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, north India, South India, east etc. The wave of discrimination creeps in each individual, while schools and colleges never taught us that. Then where does it come. It’s our home, relatives, clan etc. Of course, not to forget our political leaders, who woo masses with their irrational speeches doing brain washing?

Chetan quit his international investment banking career in 2009, to devote his entire time to writing and make change happen in the country. He lives in Mumbai with his wife Anusha, an ex-classmate from IIMA and his twin boys Shyam and Ishaan.

His story shows turmoil eh went through to unite just few people from 2 states. His dedication is seen in above line. Imagine contribution we need to put in for our dream (at least mine) “India – the one”. We don’t have to start marrying cross culture. But respect the other cultures equally as your own. Not just we but our upbringing to our kids should be towards India and nothing else.

This still remains the dream to have a single state called India, and all 35 states in one.

Face-off!

October 27th, 2009

Last weekend, I had to face someone I never knew ever exists. One I thought could never be in me. But just at right time, it revealed itself onto me. For years I thought I thought its dead, I am in best of me. And very next moment it popped up. Boiling my Blood to a level I have never experienced before.

Well yes I do get “ANGER”, now that I know. Actually I knew it from very early days that I have anger within me, but the level was not yet discovered. I hope, what I experienced over weekend, was its peak. I had the policy, of not getting into an argument, or things are not working the way you want it when you are angry. For the best of things and time, I used to keep quite and let myself cool down. The time lag had been few minutes till now. This was the first time it went over hours.

I had always treated anger as the worst of the qualities you can posses in your life. But then its only time you discover that it’s the only thing that might be required for most of the things to happen like:

  1. To show that you care, you need to shout with Anguish.
  2. To show that you need it, you need to show that you Zeal.
  3. To show that you disagree, you need to put your Foot Down.
  4. To show that things are not right, you need to Fight Back.
  5. To make sure that you are not taken for granted, when you are asked you need to Rebel.

Well I have always been a calm and compassionate person. Actually I demonstrate myself to be one. But last Sunday, I literally walked over a conversation which I didn’t agree and shut myself from any kind of communication/conversation for 24 hours. I got my scores leveled for sure.

But then some part of within me which still says that, “I don’t want to Face-Off myself, with the same.”

Am I the only one to discover it by my own or are others also discovering it. Let me know what you think.

Are you afraid of this Face-off yourself!

Are you Happy with results?

October 25th, 2009

“Are you happy with results?”, This was a question that came from my friend as it was decided that the Maharashtra State Assembly will be governed by the Congress Party and allies again for next five years, claiming the hatrick.

The stern look on my face, gave answer to my friend. With the last decade of governance, there had hardly been any improvement in terms of infrastructure in the state as compared to those of others. The claims laid were high, but always well planned strategy wins. Same happened this time as well. I am of a believe congess had a better strategy for this elections than any other party. Including strategic decision of having voting a day before Diwali.

We Mumbaikar’s are some of the highest tax payers in entire nation, but all we get is nothing in return, but few entertainers like a bi-annual terrorist attack, annual floods and worst infrastructure, Ahh!, I almost forgot the power cuts too.

There is huge list of the things that government should have done in the last decade, and results should have shown, but it seems there has been no positive development in the state. And people have voted again for the same thing for next 5 years. In last 10 years the life in State has been hell, and coming 5 years are going to add perfection to this Word HELL!

I think if we don’t see some positive results this year, we should stop paying taxes. As we pay taxes for service which are not existing.  We are tolerant, at cost of our own living.  I think we can/deserve get a better life for all that we do, we pay and we earn.

You let me know what you feel about your respective state – assembly results.

Been Busy

October 20th, 2009

Been Busy” is the excuse I have been giving to all for the last 6-8 weeks even more. I have missed so much in last couple of months that I had to blog about. Some of the main actions were:

  1. My Blog’s first anniversary,
  2. My Birthday,
  3. Elections,
  4. Diwali and lotmore.

Last week of the September was my Blog’s anniversary, First anniversary. And I missed it. I said to myself that I had “Been Busy”, to blog about it. But it’s never to late, Happy Anniversary to My Blog.

Ah! 2 weeks back I had turned one more year old. It was the day full of action around me with no time to spare. All the greetings and blessings were pouring in throughout the day from relatives, friends and colleagues. But I had “Been Busy” to blog about it.

Elections, a big event of the October month was to be covered. The interesting speech by the leaders tailored to criticize about other leaders in the public meetings. There was Dilemma in a common man’s (voter/ the sufferer) mind about,

Whom to elect?

The actual point’s to be considered about our leaders?

Choosing any leader would ever solve problem?

There were so many things to put my views upon. But, I had “Been Busy”. Not busy enough that not to vote. But yes busy enough to vote twice when my name appeared in two different voter’s lists.

Ah! Diwali Just flew by; again I had “Been Busy”, to Blog, but not enough that I spent quite sometime with my family. It was family diwali this time. I had not spent any money this diwali as it was under recession (still for many like me). With steep rise in costs of things, not a single commodity has shown a straight price line, but my pay scale has been stagnant for over 18 months now. Though I had quite a bit diwali last year, this year diwali was just family time together.

But enough of “Been Busy”! I am back.
